Background

Turcan Connell is a leading private client legal firm with offices in Edinburgh, Guernsey and London. 18 partners and staff of nearly 300 bring together a combination of legal and asset management expertise unique in Scotland.

Line were appointed to redesign their public website and extend their brand across it; their content management system was cumbersome to use and restrictive in its design flexibility so we built an entirely new site from scratch using our own CMS which now gives much greater flexibility and ease of use.

More recently we have been working with the HR department to promote Turcan Connell to the graduate market through the successful and innovative use of podcasts and online video.

What we did

The site was redesigned within the company's existing brand framework, but the identity was extended by the introduction of new photography which we commissioned and directed. The firm's exclusive focus on private clients and charities, and the benefits that this intimate involvement gives is visualised through the personal detail of Turcan Connell's employees in the photographs.

The new content management system allows the marketing team at Turcan Connell to easily update the site content, from editing text to cropping and resizing images, relating content to attaching downloadable documents.

Further work

We have recently extended the website to include video podcasts to help the HR team better communicate to potential graduates what it is like to work at Turcan Connell - and hence recruit the cream of the crop. The podcasts were commissioned by Line, and feature interviews with recent graduates right the way through to the HR director and can be tracked through Google Analytics to establish thier effectiveness.
